#BLPFAM | TAZKIATIA ON LIVING WITH A HALF-BLIND EYE

Meet Tazkiatia – a girl who dares to be different and confident in her own skin. Be inspired by her story!

Have you ever felt insecure because you feel different? In the world filled with beauty standards, Tazkia confidently chooses her happiness and embraces her uniqueness, despite having a half-blind eye. Rather than questioning her worth or being weighed down by struggles and challenges, she is here to remind us that beauty can be found in everything. Get ready to be inspired by her remarkable journey of overcoming insecurity and embracing her true self!

Well, I definitely have. Since I was 5, I've been partially blind due to an accident, which made me an easy target for bullies and made my insecurities even worse. As I grew up, I also felt like I wasn't pretty enough to get the pretty privilege. So, I worked really hard just to be “seen”. I tried to stand out by becoming a class leader, joining different organizations, and studying harder. I want to be judged for my achievements, not my appearance.

Personally, I try to accept who I am and be confident in my own uniqueness. I remind myself that being different is not a flaw, but rather what makes me special. I want to embrace that feeling and be comfortable in my own skin, understanding that it is my unique identity that makes me ME and leaves a memorable impression on others. Up until now, my life motto will always be, “We can find beauty in everything, even in broken pieces”.

My goal in life goes beyond material success. Despite the challenges I’ve faced and the effort I’ve put into proving myself, I have slowly found happiness and built a sense of pride within myself. I’ve been through a lot but I’m so lucky to be surrounded by people who genuinely care about me, especially my parents who never treated me differently from my brothers. That has made me understand that my true goal in life is to be surrounded by loved ones, and love them in return.

Once I feel comfortable with myself, I experiment with different styles and try various makeup looks. I find it amazing how the right style and makeup can make me feel beautiful. For me, makeup works like wonders and instantly boosts my confidence. The most powerful thing that makeup does for me is switching how others perceive me – from weak and vulnerable to fierce.

To me, #BeAdored means that when you embrace and accept yourself, people will naturally adore and appreciate you. It’s about prioritizing your own happiness and doing things that bring you joy. Personally, I love spending my weekends with closest friends, diving into my favorite book, enjoying movie time, or even attending festivals. These are the things I want to do for the rest of my life, creating a fulfilling and adored existence.
