It stands as a community built for women, by women with one powerful message: “Empowering Women Through Fitness.” The head of community Adelia Anastasia led #BLPFam today to walk around Gelora Bung Karno while sharing about the importance of fitness for women.
The day started at 6.30 in the morning on a calm Sunday, with #BLPFam from Jakarta, Tangerang, Bekasi, Bogor, and even Bandung were flocking to have some quality time together! The presence of Andra Alodita and Tanya Larasati – two of our longest friends – added an extra dose of fun. Andra surprised us with handmade friendship bracelets that she crafted the night before. What a sweet surprise!
At 7, we hit the road following Coach Adelia’s track along the Gelora Bung Karno area. GBK is known for its ring-road, but our route was a breath of fresh air as we walked through the main roads and wandered among the trees of the urban forest. It was like discovering another side of Jakarta.
After a one-hour leisurely walk, we reached the finish line for a Sunday morning picnic, where #BLPFam could mingle while enjoying morning snacks. Everyone’s energy was at its height when we had an inspiring, yet laid-back sharing session with Coach Adelia, Andra, Tanya, and our founder Lizzie Parra. The four women brought up a discussion on how we could appreciate ourselves through beauty and fitness, while feeling good about ourselves.

Despite the rain in the middle of our picnic, the event unfolded wonderfully, leaving us feeling inspired and energized. #BLPFam all went home with (hopefully) healthier body and mind:
